Will & Trusts - Family Client Christmas Gift
Brief
Gilded Bee were approached to provide the Christmas gifts for several hundred family clients of Wills & Trusts financial planners. A gift was required that would feel personal but still appropriate to the professional relationship. The gift should include bespoke elements but without corporate branding. All gifts to be sent directly to the recipients.
Insight
At the heart of The Wills and Trusts business is their strong family values, which we wanted to reflect. We developed this idea using the message: ‘from our family to yours’
The gift wrapping was also important to ensure that it conveyed how special the recipients were.
Solution
The gift option selected was a bespoke baking set, presented with the message ‘From our family to yours’. This incorporated a bespoke recipe book. In its first pages there were six recipes, donated, as their favourites from the Wills & Trusts team. We created illustrations accompanying the recipes to bring them to life. The rest of the book was a ruled notebook for the recipient to add their own recipes and notes. We enlisted the expertise of a British bookbinders to help bring this to life and it was finished with a black, linen-bound, rigid cover complete with gold, foil-blocked illustration, created by us especially for the gift.
As the MD of Wills & Trusts is a keen (and very talented) bread maker, the first recipe in the book was, of course for bread. Pulling on this theme we then added a bag to keep bread fresh, which also featured the bespoke illustration. We rounded off the set with a dough scraper, a must-have for any bread baking.
With the gift wrapping we proposed to work with Wills & Trusts’ business colours of black and gold as we have used them previously for the client to great effect. We believe small touches like this consistency are important to continue building advocacy with clients. The keepsake gift box, tissue paper and shred were all in black with the Inner seal sticker a gold ‘WT’ to add an element of business identity and then finished with a beautiful gold ribbon. Each piece included a gift card with message from Wills & Trusts and depicted a reindeer sketch which was created in-house.
All gifts were despatched and received in plenty of time for Christmas.
