Beautiful Gifting: Introducing our Repurposed Wooden Wine Boxes

At Gilded Bee, we’ve always believed that the way a gift is presented is just as important as what’s inside it.

The packaging is the first part of the experience. It creates anticipation, tells a story and turns a collection of lovely products into something that feels genuinely special.

So, we’re very excited to introduce our latest packaging option: genuine repurposed wooden wine boxes.

And we’re rather proud of these.

Rather than manufacturing another new gift box, we’re taking beautiful wooden wine boxes that have already served their original purpose and giving them a completely new life.

Each one is authentic, with its own wine branding, wood grain, markings and character. That means no two boxes are quite the same – and we think that’s exactly what makes them so special.

From wine box to beautiful gift box

Of course, we couldn’t resist adding a little Gilded Bee magic.

When used for one of our gift sets or hampers, we carefully line the box with tissue, arrange the gifts inside and finish everything with our signature Gilded Bee ribbon and a personal gift card.

The result is something that feels luxurious and considered, without relying on packaging created purely to be used once.

They’re also wonderfully practical. Once the gifts have been enjoyed, the wooden box can live on again – used for storage, kept in the home or office, or even filled with something lovely and gifted all over again.

Packaging with a story

Sustainability in gifting isn’t simply about replacing one material with another. For us, it’s also about looking at what already exists and asking: could we use this differently?

These boxes were originally made to transport and present wine. Instead of their story ending there, we’re extending their useful life and turning them into something beautiful all over again.

There may be marks from their previous use, different vineyard names or variations in the wood – but that’s part of their charm. They aren't trying to look brand new. They have history.

And when you’re creating gifts for clients, employees, VIPs or event guests, we think that makes the whole experience a little more interesting.
